I have worked with singers and instrumentalists from grade 1 examinees to international virtuosi. Over the years I've played a considerable variety of music with all of the standard orchestral instruments, as well as with a fair few instruments that don't often feature in orchestras. Whoever I'm playing with my job is to listen carefully to what they're doing and use all the tricks at my disposal to enable them to sound at their best.

I've been Musical Director (as well as pianist/keyboardist) for numerous shows, such as Cabaret, A Chorus Line, Footloose, Guys and Dolls, Into the Woods, Kiss Me Kate, Les Misérables, Our House, Rent, Sweeney Todd, and West Side Story (to name just a few) and I'm used to working with vocalists of all abilities, from the very reluctant to professional opera singers. I also have experience working with choirs and playing for ballet exams.

My sight-reading skills are very good, and I'm happy to learn pretty much anything at short notice (if I don't already know it). Reasonable rates charged for performances, exams and rehearsals: please enquire for a quote.
