For many years I was a full-time college lecturer, firstly at Kingsway College in London, followed by stints as Head of Music at Andover College in Hampshire and Bilborough College in Nottingham, where I had responsibility for practical music-making as well as A-levels. I then became course leader for a Foundation Degree in Popular Music at Bournemouth & Poole College and taught on the Music Design degree at Bournemouth University. I have also taught individual piano lessons throughout my career, including at Bournemouth and Southampton universities, and prepared many students for grade exams, diplomas, and college entrance auditions.

I now give private piano and keyboard lessons at my home studio in Branksome covering classical, jazz, rock, and pop, working towards grade exams if required, or working towards other targets. I also teach at Canford, Godolphin, and Parkstone Grammar schools.
