I studied piano at the Guildhall School of Music and later at Manchester University with Gordon Fergus-Thompson and Martin Roscoe.

After a long career teaching in schools, colleges, and universities I spent some years playing on cruise ships before returning to settle in the Bournemouth area.

I have performed, taught, and accompanied much of the classical solo and ensemble repertoire. I am an excellent sight-reader and also an accomplished improviser with considerable experience in jazz, pop, and rock styles. I have played for and been Musical Director for numerous shows.

I am currently available for all types of engagements as a pianist and keyboardist; accompanying for exams, auditions and recitals; and piano tuition at my home studio in Branksome.
